Placing a Hold using the Online Catalog
To use the “Hold” option of the Tucker Free Library online catalog most effectively, place holds on materials only if they are checked out. When the item is returned, our system alerts us about the hold and we will set it aside and call you. If the catalog shows that the item is in and you place it on hold, our system does not alert the staff that a hold has been placed and someone else could come in and check it out. We do check the holds once a day, but if you place your hold after we’ve done that for the day you run the risk of having your item checked out by someone else.
We are happy to pull materials that are in from the shelf and set them aside if you call us at 428-3471 or e-mail tuckerfreestaff@comcast.net.

This program was enhanced to allow patrons to access the catalog, check their library records, renew materials they currently have checked out, and place holds on items that they would like. To check your personal library record, renew, or place holds you must enter your last name and Patron ID number when prompted. Your Patron ID is the last five digits which can be found on the back of your library card. This must be entered as five digits so if your number is only three digits (123) then you must enter the leading zeros (00123).
