Last March at Town Meeting, Henniker voters approved an appropriation for a feasibility study to determine how best to replace failing, obsolete handicap access lift (Garavanta) in the library. How best to provide a fully accessible building while providing handicapped accessible/ADA compliant public bathrooms. The study shall also include ideas on how to best address the potential use of the last open space in the library, the current unfinished attic on the top floor.

Henniker residents supported a $70,000.00 Warrant Article to continue to the next phase of the Library Building Accessibility and Safety Project. Phase 2: The Schematic Design was kicked off at the April 11th meeting. Jason Lacombe of SMP Architecture presented a conceptual program for the project.
